Admissions

Registration is in progress. We take day and boarding students at both O and A Level, and we would rather you came and saw the school before deciding.

Four steps

How to apply

Get in touch

Call the school on +256 772 629705, send a WhatsApp message, or fill in the enquiry form on this page. Tell us the class the student is joining.

Visit the school

Come to the campus at Kawaala on any school day. You will see the classrooms, the laboratories and the workshops, and you can ask about fees face to face.

Bring the documents

Bring the student's most recent report card, their PLE or UCE results slip where it applies, and a passport photograph. We will give you an admission form to complete.

Confirm the place

Settle the fees or agree a payment arrangement with the bursar, collect the requirement list, and the student is admitted for the coming term.

Who can join

Entry requirements

  • Senior One

Bring the student's PLE results slip and their Primary Seven report card. Places are offered on the strength of the report and an interview at the school.

  • Senior Five

Bring the UCE results slip. Subject combinations are agreed with the director of studies, who will advise on what the results allow.

  • Transfers

Students joining mid-course are welcome in any class. Bring the last report card from the previous school and a transfer letter where one was issued.

Day

Students travel in each morning and go home after classes and any practical session. Lunch is provided on site.

Boarding

Boarding is mixed, with accommodation on the main campus, meals from the school kitchen and supervised evening prep in the library.

Fees and bursaries

What it costs

Kawaala College School was founded on the idea of quality education at affordable fees, and bursary support is available through PESS and other organisations.

To do — fees structure needed

No figures are shown here, and none have been guessed at. Send the fees structure per term, broken down by class and by day or boarding, together with any requirement list, and it will be set out as a clear table on this page. If you would rather not publish fees online, we can replace this with a line inviting parents to call the bursar instead — just say which you prefer.

To do — term dates needed

Send the academic calendar for the year: term start and end dates, and the dates of visiting days. Parents look for this more than almost anything else on a school website.

Enquire online

Send us an enquiry

Fill this in and we will get back to you. If it is urgent, please call instead — the phone is always quicker.

Thank you — your enquiry has been sent

We have received your message and will reply as soon as we can. If you need an answer today, call +256 772 629705.
